Families who hold a valid means tested Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Vetran Affairs Pensioner Cared, are eligible for financial assistance through the Catholic Education Office's Family Fee Assistance Scheme and the Victorian Government's Camp Sport and Excursion Fund. This means that there is a reduction off the Family Fee and Captial Fee combined. The example for 2023 is as follows:-
Family Fee and Capital Fee Combined Fee Amount - $1,430.00.
With eligibility there would be a credit to the combined fee of $910.00.
State Government credit for Camps, Sports or Excursions of $125.00.
This makes the balance of Family Fee and Capital Fee Amount $395.00.
CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE (Travel Allowance)
If you live more than 4.8km from your closest Catholic school you can apply for the conveyance allowance. This is a payment towards the cost of transporting your child to school by car. For example, in the 2023 year, for the first child of the parent/guardian received an amount of $450.18. Every additional child in the same family will receive 50% of this amount. This can be credited directly to your fees or paid directly to the parent/guardian.
